Flood warnings extended for Kuda Ganga and Gin Ganga
The Irrigation Department has extended the flood warning issued at 9:30 a.m. yesterday (20) for the Kuda Ganga sub-basin of the Kalu Ganga for a further 24 hours.
The warning also applies to the Gin Ganga basin, for which a flood warning issued at 12:30 p.m. yesterday (20) has likewise been extended for 24 hours.
Residents in the affected areas and motorists travelling on roads in these regions, particularly by-roads, are urged to exercise extreme caution due to the prevailing conditions.
Disaster management authorities have been requested to take all necessary precautionary measures in response to the extended warnings.
