The Colombo International Book Fair 2026, organized annually by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association (SLBPA), commences today (25) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises in Colombo.
The 10-day event will continue until October 4 and will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
TV Derana is the official media sponsor of this year’s book fair.
Held for the 27th time, the Colombo International Book Fair provides the public with an opportunity to purchase local and foreign books at special discounted prices.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Central Environmental Authority, Professor Tilak Hewawasam, has requested members of the public attending the book fair to refrain from bringing polythene onto the exhibition grounds.
