The Department of Examinations has issued a press release on temporarily banning tuition classes and other related activities aimed at candidates of 2021 (2022) Grade 5 Scholarship and G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations.
Accordingly, organizing and holding tuition classes, lectures, seminars, workshops would not be permitted from midnight on January 18 until the Grade 5 Scholarship exam comes to an end, the Commissioner-General of Examinations, L. M. D. Dharmasena said in a notice.
Meanwhile, the temporary ban on the aforementioned activities for Advanced Level exam candidates will be effective from midnight on February 01 to March 05, until the conclusion of the exam.
Accordingly, conducting and organizing tuition classes, seminars and lectures in respect of these two examinations have been strictly prohibited during the aforementioned period.
In addition, the ban extends to printing, distributing mock question papers and publishing posters, banners and flyers through electronic or printed media or possessing them.
The Examinations Department noted that any candidate violating these orders will be charged under the Public Examinations Act.
2021 (2022) Advanced Level Examination is scheduled to be held from February 07 to March 05 and the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam is set to take place on January 22.
