An Information Desk to facilitate the arrangements for the first meeting of the first session of the eighth Parliament that will be elected on Monday will be operative in the House from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. on August 23, 24 and 25 for the convenience of MPs, the Secretary General of Parliament said.

All Members of Parliament (MPs) are requested to make use of the opportunity without fail as the arrangements have been made to provide vital information and various documents regarding parliament procedures etc. at the Information Desk, a statement said.
 
The MPs are informed to bring their National identity Card or any other valid document to prove their identity along with them to facilitate their entry.
 
They are also requested to complete and bring the specimen form available at the www.parliament.lk website if possible, in order to further simplify this task and are informed that all arrangements have been made to obtain a photograph of each MP for the official identity card and hence, they are requested to be present for the same.
 
All Parliamentarians and their Secretaries are also requested to contact the Assistant Director (Administration) of Table Office of Parliament of Sri Lanka on telephone numbers 011-2777549, 011-2777273, 011-2777367 and 011-2777304 on Friday 21st August, 2015 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for further details.
