Investigations have been launched into a tuition teacher who had allegedly provided students with the exact set of questions contained in the science paper of the 2012 G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination, during classes conducted prior to the exams.
Commissioner General of Examinations, W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that complaints received in this regard have been reported to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to probe.
It has been revealed that several questions included in the Science “Part – I” paper, handed out to students during the exam yesterday (15), were discussed by the tuition teacher via a model question paper before the O/L exams had commenced.
Meanwhile 15 complaints have been received pertaining to the ongoing O/L examinations while supervision teams have been placed at examination centers across the island to prevent students from cheating during the exam.
